อาคารสถานที่ราชการสองข้างถนนราชดำเนินนอกตั้งแต่สะพานผ่านฟ้าลีลาศถึงสะพานมัฆวาฬรังสรรค์ เขตพระนครสร้างขึ้นในพ.ศ. 2495-2500ตามนโยบายรัฐนิยมของ จอมพลแปลกพิบูลสงคราม โดยนำเอกลักษณ์ของอาคารไทยมาผสมผสานกับสถาปัตยกรรมแบบตะวันตกและวัสดุแบบใหม่เพื่อปลูกฝังความรู้สึกชาตินิยม

เป็นอาคารชั้น 3-4 ชั้นหลังคามุงกระเบื้องแผ่นเล็กเลียนแบบกระเบื้องไทย ตัวอาคารประกอบด้วยมุข 2-3 มุขตกแต่งกรอบหน้าบันด้วยคอนกรีตเป็นรูปเครื่องลำยองแบบไทยและติดตราสถานที่ราชการนั้น ๆปีกอาคารมีระเบียงผ่านหน้าห้องตลอดเสามุขและเสาอิงตามผนังตกแต่งหัวเสาประยุกต์จากกลีบบัวจงกล
